What is Give More 24?
Give More 24 is Southwest Washington’s largest day of giving. It lasts for 24 hours annually on September 24th.
You don’t need anyone to tell you the world is a stressful place right now. Washington’s Department of Health is reporting a surge in substance abuse and mental health disorders, and addiction to opioids and other prescription drugs is as bad as we’ve seen here at Lifeline Connections.
Like you, right now we’re especially concerned about our patients, their children and their families. Medication helps many folks manage their behavioral health disorders, but it’s dangerous in the wrong hands. With people spending so much time at home, the chance of a young child accidentally getting into an adult’s medications is higher than usual.
Our mission is to inspire hope and support life-saving changes for people affected by substance use and mental health conditions, including their friends and families. Your gift today through Give More 24! will make sure there are enough locking medication bags for any family or individual who needs one. Many patients recover using a combination of counseling and medications. Help keep their children safe by making sure everyone has a locking medications bag at home.
