Upcoming Event to Help Our Community Cope with COVID-19
How can we cope with COVID-19 and all the damage it has caused?
The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a toll on each and every person in some way. As it begins to come under control, new concerns immerge. There has been and still is an increasing amount of trauma related to isolation, grief, fear and the overall economic impact. In addition, there is an alarming increase of people experiencing substance use and mental health disorders directly related to the pandemic.
Lifeline Connections will hold a panel discussion that dives into all of these areas. Our panel will talk about what family members should look for if they’re concerned for a loved one, what communities can do and talk about what substance use and mental health professionals should know and expect for the next year and beyond.
The panel will include the following medical and city professionals:
Brandy Branch, Vice President of Outpatient and Community Based Services for Lifeline Connections
Dr. Kira Mauseth, Co-leader of Behavioral Health Strike Team, WA State Department of Health
Ty Stober, Councilmember, Vancouver City Council
This is a FREE, must-attend event for everyone May 19th from 12:00pm – 1:00pm. Reserve your spot here or through Facebook. Join us and see how you can cope with COVID-19 and the impacts it has had on your life.
