Lifeline Connections to Kick-Off Camp Mariposa®
Camp Mariposa® is a national mentoring and addiction prevention program with a focus on serving youth impacted by the substance use disorder of a family member. This free weekend camp is offered multiple times throughout the year for youth ages 9 to 12 who face challenges associated with a family member’s substance use disorder.
Camp Mariposa is a fun, multi‐day camp providing counseling and emotional support, while giving kids problem solving and self‐care tools to help build positive self‐esteem. In addition, social activities are offered for campers, teens, and their families during non-camp months.
Lifeline Connections will host a Kick-Off Party, Sunday, August 18th, 2019 starting at 1:00pm at Klineline Park, 1112 NE 117th St., Vancouver, WA where kids 9-12 and their parent or guardian and adults interested in mentoring opportunities will learn more about the program.
Camp is held every other month for one full weekend with the first camp scheduled for September 13-15, 2019. For additional information contact Trista Wolles at (360) 605-7628 or twolless@lifelineconnections.org.
