What is Give More 24?
Give More 24 is Southwest Washington’s largest day of giving. It lasts for 24 hours annually on September 24th.
You don’t need anyone to tell you the world is a stressful place right now. Washington’s Department of Health is reporting an increase in substance use and mental health disorders. Furthermore, alcohol, opioids and other prescription drugs abuse continues to climb.
Like you, right now we’re especially concerned about our patients and their children.
How will Give More 24 help?
Our mission is to inspire hope and support life-saving changes for people affected by substance use and mental health conditions, including their friends and families. Your gift today through Give More 24 will help us get closer to our goal. Moreover, to send children to Camp Mariposa®.
Camp overview
Camp Mariposa is a year-round substance use prevention and mentoring program for youth affected by the substance use disorder of a family member. So, children and teens attend weekend camps every other month for a year or more. In addition, these children participate in fun, traditional camp activities combined with educational and support sessions led by mental health professionals
What is the cost to families?
All Camp Mariposa activities are provided free of charge. Kids who attend Camp Mariposa learn coping skills that build resiliency and ultimately break the intergenerational cycle of addiction. This award-winning program is offered in partnership with youth-focused organizations in communities across the country. This camp is led by Lifeline Connections mental health professionals and is held in a beautiful camp setting in Clark County.
