Recovery Resource Center Open House
May 15th, 2018 is a busy day at Lifeline Connections! In addition to our A Light in the Storm fundraising breakfast first thing in the morning there will be an open house at the Recovery Resource Center in Hazel Dell in the afternoon from 3-5pm. Ricky Byrd former Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Famer and lead guitarist with Joan Jet and the Blackhearts will be on hand to share part of his journey of 30 years in recovery.
The Recovery Resource Center, 9317 NE Hwy 99, Suite M, Vancouver, WA, is staffed by volunteers who have walked their own journey of recovery and who will share and give back some of the strength and hope they have gained. This peer to peer support can be a lifeline for those new in recovery. Recovery is tough and having a friend and a safe place to find resources and support can be a valuable tool in the tool box. Resources that are available include a computer lab, phone charging station, monthly social events, art created by those in recovery, a community meeting room for support groups and educational classes. Recovery books, coins, medallions, and art work will be available for purchase.
