Pregnant and Parenting Women Receive Baby Basics Gift

Last October marked the opening of our Pregnant and Parenting Women’s Residential Treatment Program. This unique substance use treatment program allows mother’s to care for their children while receiving treatment, mental health services, parenting and basic life skills classes, family support and therapeutic childcare.

Residents can stay at the Women’s Recovery Center (home to the Pregnant and Parenting Women’s Residential Treatment Program) for up to 6 months, during which they are provided with all their basic necessities. Many consumable items unique to this type of program, such as diapers and wipes are in great need. We reached out to our local community for help, and couldn’t be more pleased with the response to our first-ever Baby Basics Drive.

The items collected totaled: 2071 diapers, 4648 wipes, 130 changing pads, 1 breast pump, 86 nursing pads, 1 Bag of baby nipples, 1 Baby layette set, 1 large bag of stuffed toys and 1 large bag of children’s clothing.

Clinical supervisor, Gari Stanley was quoted: “We are overwhelmed with the generosity of our co-workers and community partners. Thank you very much.”

We are grateful to all those who support our mission to inspire hope and support lifesaving changes for people affected by substance use and mental health conditions.

Visit our Baby Basics page if you would like to continue the giving.
